As a product of nature, wood is intrinsically warm and unique. Variations in wood color and grain will occur naturally, even after the wood has been cured: some woods darken with age, while others fade. A clear finish is applied to bring out the natural color preserve the original brightness.

Rich golden brown hard-wood with straight to irregular grain. Native to Hawaii.

Deep red orange hardwood ages to an attractive golden brown. Native to Africa.
purple heart
Purple Heart
Very dense straight grain hardwood. Ranges in color from purple to burgundy. Darkens with age. Native to South America.
quilted maple

Used as a decorative highlight. Cream-colored species of maple in which the wood fibers appear "dimpled". Very iridescent. Native to Eastern US and Canada.

Deep rich wood ranging from light to dark chocolate in color with black ribboning grain. Native to South America.

Used as a decorative highlight. Heavily veined, dark "chocolate fudge" colored hardwood. Native to Africa.
