As a product of nature, wood is intrinsically warm and unique. Variations in wood color and grain will occur naturally, even after the wood has been cured: some woods darken with age, while others fade. A clear finish is applied to bring out the natural color preserve the original brightness.
Wood Descriptions
Birdseye Maple Cream-colored species of maple with areas where the wood fibres have been twisted to form circular "eyes". Native to Eastern US and Canada.	Bubinga Lustrous and distinctly figured rosewood. Ranges in color from pale to deep red, often with lighter pink to purplish veining. Native to Africa.	Cherry Reddish brown hardwood tones are enhanced with age. Native to Eastern US (Natural Cherry is never red).	Cocobolo Used as a decorative highlight. Closely related to Brazilian rosewood, dark pigment streaks throughout red, yellow, and orange grain. Native to Mexico.
Curly Maple Cream-colored species of maple in which wood fibers appear "wavy". Native to Northern US and Canada.	Koa Rich golden brown hard-wood with straight to irregular grain. Native to Hawaii.	Paduak Deep red orange hardwood ages to an attractive golden brown. Native to Africa.	Purple Heart Very dense straight grain hardwood. Ranges in color from purple to burgundy. Darkens with age. Native to South America.
Quilted Maple Used as a decorative highlight. Cream-colored species of maple in which the wood fibers appear "dimpled". Very iridescent. Native to Eastern US and Canada.	Bolivian Rosewood Deep rich wood ranging from light to dark chocolate in color with black ribboning grain. Native to South America.	Wenge Used as a decorative highlight. Heavily veined, dark "chocolate fudge" colored hardwood. Native to Africa.	Walnut Dark brown hardwood tones are enhanced with age, straight to irregular grain. Native to Eastern US.
